Hella Good Audio (HGA) was founded in 2018 by Brendan Wolf after graduating with high honors from the Academy of Art University and earning his MFA in Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media. The company name is a nod to his roots in the SF Bay Area where the video game industry, the word 'hella', and he himself, were all born and raised.
Brendan is a cross-functional dude who's worked professionally in game dev, audio engineering, music production, audio UX research, banking, and even crypto mining machine design (). What he's most proud of though is his recent recognition by the MPSE, which awarded him a Golden Reel Award for his work as Audio Implementation and Sound Editor on the VR animated short, Baba Yaga (2021) for the Oculus Quest.
Currently, he is studying to complete all four Audiokinetic Wwise Certifications (101 / 201 / 251 / 301) in hopes of landing his dream job at a AAA game or VR studio as a full time Audio Designer.
